Remember that Google Translate update with real-time voice translation we heard about earlier this week? It's here for iOS and Android.

The second big update is the integration of Word Lens. The Translate app already allowed you to take a picture of text and have it translated into one of 36 languages but you can now get instant translation.

Pointing your camera at a sign will translate it while retaining the same typography. It currently works for translation from English to and from French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

What is Virtual Pins

Exchange any data between Blynk app and your hardware

Virtual Pin is a concept invented by Blynk Inc. to provide exchange of any data between hardware and Blynk mobile app.

Virtual pins are different than Digital and Analog Input/Output (I/O) pins. They are physical pins on your microcontroller board where you connect sensors and actuators.

Blynk lets you control any hardware connected to Digital and Analog pins without having to write any additional code.

For example, if you need to turn On/Off LED connected to Digital pin, you don't have to write any code:

Just use BlynkBlink code for your hardware.
In the Blynk app - add Button Widget and set it to pin D8
That's it! No additional code is required. Simply press Play in the app.

Wer bisher bei der Erstellung oder der Suche von 3D-Objekten oder -Szenen wenig Erfolg hatte, für den hat Google nun Poly: Die Bibliothek umfasst Tausende von Assets für Augmented Reality - egal ob per ARCore oder per ARKit - und Virtual Reality.
Google hat mit Poly eine 3D-Bibliothek für App-Entwickler online gestellt, die Objekte für Augmented Reality und Virtual Reality enthält.

In einem Blogeintrag erläutert Googles Andrea Zvinakis, dass sich Poly für Apples ARKit genauso eignet wie für Googles eigenes ARCore. Die Bibliothek ist zudem mit Blocks und mit Tilt Brush für VR-Headset wie HTCs Vive verknüpft.

Deine App zeigt dir auf einmal, dass dein Passwort falsch sei und lässt dich nicht mehr in deinen Account? Und am Laptop oder PC kommt auch immer wieder eine Fehlermeldung beim Login?

Dann wurde möglicherweise dein Konto gehackt und jemand gibt sich für dich im Netz aus, verbreitet Mist oder nutzt deine Daten sogar dazu, um Abos abzuschließen oder Waren zu bestellen.

Was jetzt?

Oft hilft es, über einen an der Anmeldung platzierten Link das Passwort zu ändern. Das sollte dann ein wirklich gutes sein!

YouTube is a fantastic way to keep your kids entertained with a tablet or smartphone, but it’s also a little concerning. You just never know if your child will end up using the suggested videos feature to jump from Sesame Street’s Elmo to a drunk Elmo parody, or view inappropriate advertising.

Google is aiming to solve that problem with a new app called YouTube Kids available on Monday for Android and iOS. The Kurio and nabi kids’ tablets will also receive the app in the coming weeks.

Early reports about the app surfaced late last week, but details were a little thin. Now that the app is available we can say that at first glance this app should appeal to parents and kids alike.
