Qu'est-ce que l'éditorialisation ? - Sens Public

Qu'est-ce que l'éditorialisation ? - Sens Public | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

Qu’est-ce que l’éditorialisation ?
18 mars 2016

An Organizing Framework for Collaborative Inquiry Processes  | #pdf #ModernEDU

Collaborative Inquiry in Ontario
What We Have Learned and Where We Are Now
“Our education system will be characterized by high expectations and success
for all. It will be responsive, high quality, accessible and integrated from early
learning and child care to adult education.”
– Achieving Excellence: A Renewed Vision for Education in Ontario, 2014
The commitment to excellence and equity in Ontario education is about the success and
well-being of every learner. How will the province go about realizing this ambitious
commitment? Substantial evidence from research conducted in Ontario and internationally
suggests that collaborative inquiry (CI) – a practice of engaging educators as
researchers – holds great promise as a provincial approach. It has been shown to be
an effective means to both professional learning and to enhanced student learning
(Comber, 2013; Hannay, Wideman & Seller, 2010; Timperley, & Lee, 2008).
Through CI, educators work together to improve their understanding of what learning
is (or could be), generate evidence of what’s working (and what’s not), make decisions
about next steps and take action to introduce improvements and innovations.
And then they start again on emerging new issues and challenges. Notably, CI sees
educators as key participants in understanding how to achieve excellence and equity
in education.

The Writer is the Architect. Editorialization and the Production of Digital Space

The Writer is the Architect. Editorialization and the Production of Digital Space | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

Abstract(s)
We live primarily in a digital space. The structure of the territory first appears to us by means of the mediation of digital devices, ones predominately owned by large multinational corporations. This situation implies a huge risk – that of remaining passive while private companies organize and develop these spaces for us. How might we avoid this risk ? Is it possible, in the digital age, for us to be central to the production of the spaces in which we live ? How might literature constitute a tool for the production of the spatial imaginary that enables us to reappropriate the places and territories managed by the information industry ? This paper addesses these questions and attempts to show, on the basis of the theory of editorialization, how writing can be a way of producing the space in which we live.

Canada Joins World Powers in Spying on Smartphone and Download Data

Canada Joins World Powers in Spying on Smartphone and Download Data | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
In North America, the Canadians have long had to play country mouse to the flashier city mouse of the U.S. It's the latter that gets all the attention, while the former sits quietly in a corner. But recent stories have shown just how big a player the Canadians are becoming---at least in the surveillance realm.
