12 Things Authentic People Don't Do on Social Media | #Entrepreneurs #ICT | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
Honesty, transparency and authenticity can be vital to the success of your business.

In this video, Entrepreneur Network partner Salma Jafri discusses the 12 things you should not be doing if you want to be authentic on social media.

It's important to develop relationships with your customers, so if you are pitching to a new follower or fan, you're missing the point. Asking your customers questions and engaging is a great way to better the customer experience. Doing poor automation such as blasting direct messages to followers also shows you're not putting in enough effort to connect with clients.

Being consistent with your words, changing up content for various social channels and reporting on news that is relevant to your industry are a number of ways you can start being authentic on social media.

Organic Education is the key to change.
Steve Borley's curator insight, September 16, 2016 11:19 AM
Much of BC's new curriculum is in agreement with Sir Ken Robinson's thinking. More importantly, much of Sir Ken's thinking considers that children are individuals with unique gifts, abilities, and needs which cannot be met with a one-size-fits-all approach to education. Sir Ken's genius is not in his awareness of the individuality of students but in his eloquence and perseverance in voicing that awareness such that entire societies are growing in awareness of this fundamental and historically evidenced truth.

I scooped this video because it projects a quick reference on reforms for education to come, that will impact teachers and all educators.  If we want teaching to be considered a profession, and not just a job, we need to reform how the tasks are completed and reported out.  I hope that teachers will look at this video, and even read the book and learn and grow from the experience.  We have to be ready as educators for change.

Yes, our happiness is based on things we don’t need and governed by entities we don’t control, so what? Sit down and turn on the tv!

ICT PracTICE | 7th Grade Student Video Project ==> Mr. Kirsch's ICT II Class | eSkills

ICT PracTICE | 7th Grade Student Video Project ==> Mr. Kirsch's ICT II Class | eSkills | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

Dan KIRSCH: The following are examples of my 7th grade student’s Video projects. The objective for the students was for them to create a video describing how “Technology Has Impacted their Lives” in either a positive or negative manner.

The students were put in groups in order for them to film and describe their content. I really wanted the students to focus on how technology has become an integral part of everyday life; however can this become bad?? In essence, I wanted students to focus on the content people put on the internet and/or share information they should ==> Privacy.

These videos were created by 7th grade students. The following videos depicting students do have permission from parents/guardians to be shown on the blog....

Hands-on: Child-friendly YouTube Kids app launches on Android and iOS

Hands-on: Child-friendly YouTube Kids app launches on Android and iOS | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
YouTube is a fantastic way to keep your kids entertained with a tablet or smartphone, but it’s also a little concerning. You just never know if your child will end up using the suggested videos feature to jump from Sesame Street’s Elmo to a drunk Elmo parody, or view inappropriate advertising.

Google is aiming to solve that problem with a new app called YouTube Kids available on Monday for Android and iOS. The Kurio and nabi kids’ tablets will also receive the app in the coming weeks.

Early reports about the app surfaced late last week, but details were a little thin. Now that the app is available we can say that at first glance this app should appeal to parents and kids alike.
