Verschlüsselung: Neue E-Mail-Dienste profitieren vom NSA-Skandal

Verschlüsselung: Neue E-Mail-Dienste profitieren vom NSA-Skandal | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

"The Americans justify everything with combatting terrorism," said the Luxembourg foreign minister, Jean Asselborn, who on Sunday described the latest allegations as disgusting. "The EU and its diplomats are not terrorists."

Documents seen by the German newspaper Spiegel suggest that not only were

===> bugs installed in the EU's offices in Washington <===,

but also that the building's computer network was infiltrated.

THIS is going TOO FAR!!!

Forget PRISM, the recent NSA leaks are plain: Digital privacy doesn’t exist...

Mobile app downloads doubling, privacy & identity risks rise

Mobile app downloads doubling, privacy & identity risks rise | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
Mobile app downloads are doubling and the apps are getting “smarter”, but the cost to users may well be a threat to their privacy and the potential sh...

“While these apps make our lives easier, they also give a wider group of application developers and advertising networks the ability to collect information about our activities and leverage the functionality of our devices.

According to Hoffman, more concerning is that many apps collect information or require permissions unnecessary for the described functionality of the app. He says this is not the first time this issue has surfaced, with reports of popular apps collecting irrelevant information or transmitting data when devices are turned off leading to significant backlash.

ALERT!!! Firefox und Chrome verraten IP-Adressen trotz VPN

ALERT!!! Firefox und Chrome verraten IP-Adressen trotz VPN | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

What iOS apps are grabbing your data, why they do it and what should be done

What iOS apps are grabbing your data, why they do it and what should be done | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
Early last week the personal diary app Path became the fulcrum of a massive discussion about how cavalier mobile apps are getting with harvesting your, presumably, personal information. ...

Apps that do send data, with no warning

Foursquare stands alone here as an app that was, until an update issued on February 14th, sending personal data with no warning. This is similar to the previous behavior of Path that got it in so much hot water. Since the update, Foursqare now warns users before uploading data. Foursquare says that, while it was uploading the data, it was not storing it.

Foursquare (Email, Phone Numbers no warning)
