Scanning a dinosaur and other stories: defining digital space through 3D and 360

Despite technical advances in online learning, there are still some laws of physics that prove challenging for navigating physical elements in the online environment. UNE has been using innovative media techniques to break down the divide and render physical objects and places in meaningful ways in digital space. This presentation will showcase some key examples and applications of 3D and 360 media and share lessons learned about what is and isn’t possible.

Greg Dorrian is the Manager of the Learning Media team at UNE. He works with his team to champion the creation, support and education surrounding high-quality digital learning experiences using innovative media technologies in a digital first approach.
