Oklahoma State University conducted an iPad pilot program during the fall 2010 semester. OSU faculty members Bill Handy and Tracy Suter administered the program.

Is there an app for that? Well, chances are there are dozens of apps for anything you want to do, but sometimes you find one app that is robust enough to have multiples uses for you and your students. For me, iMovie is that app. Use it for everything from slow motion videography to documentation, to presentations and everything in-between. Via Andrea Zeitz

MX Tube allows you to store downloaded (played) YouTube videos to play offline. It could be useful if you are using you iPad to present in class and you wish to show a YouTube video and have no Internet access.

In summary, I traded a $100 piece of hardware for a $12 bit of software that allows streaming of iPad screens to my smartboard in a format large enough to read from the back of the classroom. __________________ We've been using Airserver for a couple of weeks now and find it very reliable. The thing I like is that you can have multiple devices on the screen at the same time (e.g. an iPhone AND iPad). Plus there is a PC version as well.
