Leadership within education is always a challenge, but in the rapidly changing technology landscape we now work in, it seems even more daunting. I've collected some interesting reflections on educational leadership here. Enjoy!
There is no doubt that post-secondary institutions in all countries rose to the occasion as the pandemic bedded in and spread rapidly and widely. Our institutions proved their resilience, at least in the short term, but there are many lessons to be learned and shared. This first webinar in our WFCP – PIN series seeks to bring those lessons to the fore, through the stories of our members.
In particular, given the disruption and uncertainty brought about by covid-19, and the absence of a “playbook” for responding to the pandemic, what type of leadership worked best, and what are the implications of this for leadership development for the future – given that similar disruptions may well occur? How do post-secondary organisations ensure they are prepared for the next crisis?
The pandemic has upended almost every aspect of school. Educators are rethinking instruction, testing, teacher preparation, the role of technology, attendance and even the length of a school day and structure of a school year.
