This article looks at how technology can be managed on a more university-wide scale than just on a classroom-wide scale. Once technology has been decided to be integrated in the classroom, centrally managing the software can reduce human error in using technology, make class more collaborative, and can even have positive environmental impacts.

If the goal is to help all students reach similar levels of success then learning to fail might be the pedagogical kick in the butt necessary to facilitate student achievement.

Students will never learn to take chances in class if the stakes for failure remain high. If we want to reward innovation and creative thinking, we need to provide an environment where failure on an assignment is not catastrophic. Learning from failure is a valuable life skill.
