The tablet market will face down years in 2016 and 2017, followed by a slight rebound in 2018 driven by detachable tablet growth.
EDTECH@UTRGV's insight:

Tablets, at least the higher end ones, tend to have a longer shelf life and don't need to be replaced as often. More often than not, as the age, they get passed down to children while the adults get the next generation. In my house, we have 3 iPads with the oldest one still going strong after almost 5 years.
