Technology is especially important in physical education. Almost every student has some type of electronic device that allows them to keep track of steps, heart rate, weight, etc. This can help students as well as teachers set goals and keep track of progress.

Mathew Lynch has created an in-depth article on the benefits Technology can have in a Physical Education classroom. Incorporating different technology into the classroom has become a trend in Australian schools due to the positive impacts it has had on student learning. In particular he focus on the impact different sporting apps can have on a students knowledge on HPE, an example would be a heart rate monitor that would allow students to see their average heart rate, max heart rate and amount of KMs run. This would allow students to the graph or chart the necessary information.
