Students cheat frequently using a variety of techniques, and some believe their instructors are prone to the do same as well. That's the bottom line from a survey done by a company that performs private investigations and digital and business forensics.
EDTECH@UTRGV's insight:

If we are only assessing students through objective type tests, they'll do what they need to do to remember (or memorize) discrete facts. If, on the other hand, we assessed students on their application of knowledge through essays and projects, it could drastically minimize the need to cheat.
