Concurrent synchronous face-to-face and online teaching (commonly called HyFlex but going by many names) has exploded this year as institutions continue to adapt to COVID-19. Kym Schutz is an Educational Technologist at the University of Adelaide. Kym is supporting the University of Adelaide Mixed Cohort Learning pilot in his role as an educational technologist in a number of ways. These includes testing the new bespoke technologies as well as supporting teacher-student logistics and teaching methodologies in this environment.
Allowing for greater flexibility, a HyFlex teaching model enables higher student engagement and options as opposed to completely hybrid or in-person learning.
