Mathletics is the next generation in learning, helping students enjoy maths and improve their results.
PM - Fun and Learning? Of course, my children used Mathletics for a few months, but then became a little bored with it. It works, their basic skills improved. Perhaps use it as a home task that has to be done (10 minutes a day) before they can use the computer for other things. Be prepared to look over their shoulder and see how they are going, praising their achievements. Be warned, it does cost some $! But think of it as an investment. Make sure you get value out of it but having your children use it on a regular basis.

Parents are being urged to look beyond the "very immature" information published as part of Fairfax Media's "School Report" website launch on Stuff.co.nz.
Principals Federation president Paul Drummond warned that some schools could suffer. "Some parents will not see the full context, they will just see the numbers."
Drummond said focusing on the data would be a mistake: "If we become so obsessed with that information, there is a real risk of losing some of the richness of our curriculum."
