This is an excellent article on one of the Google apps that allows you to monitor your kids usage time and what they are using their devices on . Many parents just give their child a device and do not check what their child is using it on, and this is where problems may arise. Children are not stuck to their phones at all hours of the day, which is also problematic because not only are the becoming dependent on their devices, but health issues can arise from not getting up and walking or playing. Family Link seems to be a cool app to get on your phone as well as your kids to monitor, without stalking, their every move on their devices.

In the school I teach at we are in a one-to-one device and this article hits home. Our students have googled themselves and other students. Our students are growing up immersed in social media and the internet. As adults, we also need to be proactive in how we post on social media because our children influenced by what we do and say.
