'remote' in iGeneration - 21st Century Education (Pedagogy & Digital Innovation)

I find it very interesting that YouTube was so highly sought after as an educational tool during the pandemic. I would not consider it to be educational in an academic sense but in all honesty, it makes sense. I know friends of mine who teach younger grades created YT videos for families of their students going over phonics and common core practices. It just never occurred to me that this was happening on a wide spread level. I think YouTube is a great platform to learn though. I taught myself how to change my brakes using YouTube, how to cut a bulb of garlic properly and how to take my vacuum apart and replace the rollers after a lego messed it up. You can find videos teaching many practical applications so I really see no disadvantage to supplementing academic education with this.

Using Office Remote, smart phone can become remotes in transformation to help with a touch control when using Microsoft programming including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This can provide the presenter to be more mobile to connect with the audience for interactions including questioning and checking for understanding.

This article gives valuable information on best practices to avoid fatigue and burnout. Something to keep in mind is the equipment you use. Having monitors that promote eye care and reduce strain will help with self-care. Having a mobile setup so you're only in place for a short period of time. Utilizing an iPad or laptop promotes mobility, thus having the option to work outside.
