I agree with the author but some points he/she made was not as convincing. Yes,I agree that kids always gets videos thrown at them to watch. No matter when, where or how. Sometimes, videos can be better than books, however, books can also be better than videos. Videos have pictures which moves while books just have words. Videos lead kids to have lesser imagination while books contains words that causes someone to imagine and think of the scene. He/She made a point that "A book about Tyrannosaurus rex won’t make much sense to a boy who has never been to a museum to see dinosaur bones, even if he can spell out the words". This is very true. If kids do not know how a T.rex looks like, what's the point of him reading the book. That's why a lot of children's books contains pictures and cartoons. Videos gives more real life contents as in showing how it works or how it will act like. I definitely think that more teachers are using videos now as YouTube these days have become a really great source of  informations. Kids will benefit from these but watching too much videos may also lead to a lack of imagination which is very important in children. However, everything has a positive and a negative impact. Video is just an alternative and attention grabbing way for kids these days.
