This article gives examples of being a good digital citizenship. This can be helpful when you are teaching students on how to properly behave online. These examples can give them a better insight of digital citizenship.

Cynthia Cuellar's curator insight, June 12, 2022 6:36 PM
This article provides examples of what good citizenship should look like and how it can be addressed.  One example that the article gives is critical thinking and how important this is to teaching digital citizenship.  I believe that students as well as adults need to think about what they will be posting instead of automatically reacting to a situation.  Monitoring is also great, in our school we have a platform that will allow the teachers to monitor our students web activity.  Using this platform has increased our student awareness of digital citizenship.

Free resource of educational web tools, 21st century skills, tips and tutorials on how teachers and students integrate technology into education

Emily Perdomo's curator insight, October 16, 2018 3:32 PM
R- The reputation is reliable because it is showing how technology is being integrated into education by videos on cyber safety being shown to students to educate them on the topic.
A- The ability to see is that they do know the topics that they bring up because of the website uses expertise as well to show the points brought up.The writers or publishers have been brought up and into education along with mixing it with technology to get a bigger picture by presenting kids with another outlet like videos.
V- The vested interest does have something at stake because their website is based on education and technology so if this were to be unreliable their website is also unreliable. From this topic they are gaining because the different approaches and reasons for these videos gives valid reasons.
E- They have expertise from technology workers and teachers so it shows how education is now getting into more of technology and how children can be educated not only in school but outside of school with keeping safety online by watching these videos. They also quote the experts.
N- The bias in this article is towards technology being mixed with education to provide students with more information on keeping themselves safe on the internet.

As educators, we now have the capability to monitor our student's online activity during the school day on their school-issued devices but not on their own personal devices.  A classroom management platform called GoGuardian helps educators monitor student online activity on their school devices. Yes we can't be with our students and monitor their activity 24/7 we can trust what they have learned a digital citizens and the examples we have set will be a positive journey.
