The STARportal makes the connections to STEM learning activities that inspire young people to explore, discover, and create.
The STARportal is Australia’s first centralised national portal for exciting and engaging STEM activities from around the country. This searchable database connects parents, students and teachers with their local and online STEM activities in real time.
The STARportal has been a collaboration between the Office of the Chief Scientist, Engineers Australia, Telstra, AMSI, BHP Billiton and the Commonwealth Bank, in consultation with the Department of Education to ensure all Australian families have access to any and all STEM outreach activities in their area and online.

I just received an email from one of our member organisations - the SDCA supports design-based learning from Years 5-12 - we assisted 200+ Year 7 students from one Perth school last year, and they utilised our Challenge platform to support and scaffold the learning.
This collection of resources is curated by a coalition of some of the most powerful organizations in US education - teachers,parents and learners are able to search and filter the resources to address their needs.

The Game Changer Awards is an opportunity for teachers and their students who are interested in STEM, to create solutions to the worlds challenges, and compete at a state level for amazing prizes. There are four age categories for Year 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, and 9 and 10 students. In each age group, there are then prizes for students and their teachers for Best use of STEM, Best overall Project and Best Presentation. Students work on their projects throughout the year, with the support of their Teachers, and come together on Game Day, to present them to the judges. The teams are also given the opportunity to showcase their projects to the families and other teachers, as well as industry and government representatives. In the tradition of science fairs, we encourage students to unleash their inner innovator to create projects aimed at developing and utilising STEM skills, including project based learning, organisation, teamwork and presentation skills. We currently have 78 teams registered to take part in 2019, and we plan to expand even further in 2020, to take the awards to all parts on WA.

Khan Academy is a free resource for students, teachers, and parents.
We offer free lessons in math, science and humanities from kindergarten through the early years of college. Students can use our exercises, quizzes, and instructional videos to learn and master skills. They will get immediate feedback and encouragement.

Khan Academy has been at this for years and has a very reputable resource base covering primary secondary and post-secondary learning.
New Information for Hello World Learning Circles beginning in April:
The Hello World: Learning Circles are for teachers and students who are new to iEARN or who have never participated in a Learning Circle. This 5-week experience will introduce teachers and students to the basics of Learning Circles including Teacher Introductions, Class Surveys, and the Exchange of Information. If you have never participated in an online collaborative learning experience before and you would like to know what it is like, this is the place to begin your experience.

To help us make sense of the crisis, learn-tech.io called on experts from around the world to help demystify COVID-19 in a short, practical course. COVID-19 Demystified has been developed for three key audiences. Firstly, the more than 1bn young people now shut out of classrooms who still seek education. Secondly, the wider public who are ‘drinking from a firehose’ of ‘news’. Information that frequently includes much disinformation and fake news. Thirdly, those decision makers and policy makers seeking to understand more about the challenges they face. Each of these audiences really needs opportunities to learn more about the pandemic both to protect their own lives and the lives of others. The scientific and mathematical complexity behind fighting COVID-19 means that many people lack tools to understand fully the impact of their own actions. Without such tools, misinformation and ignorance spread easily and can amplify negative effects of the pandemic. Those with no understanding of the science of the pandemic have sought to destroy 5G infrastructure, or adopt false cures bringing risk and harm to themselves. Some have adopted blame and hatred rather than nurtured their own understanding. The Demystification team hopes that this course will aid understanding and ultimately it will aid the fight against COVID-19. We all hope COVID 19 Demystified could be a key weapon in our fight against the pandemic and its effects.

"It is intended that COVID-19 Demystified aids our fight against the virus. It offers practical ways to gain analytical skills and knowledge enabling more people to make their own sense of the pandemic. With a set of data and models that a user can examine and investigate, each of us can model strategies for mitigation, understand better why different strategies are being followed and come to their own conclusions regarding the wisdom of different government strategies."
STEM at Home is a collection of Challenger Center lessons and activities that can be modified and completed at home. Each STEM at Home category includes at least one at-home lesson. These activities require common household items or products that are readily available online.

The Challenger Centre STEM resources page not only provides a range of space-related learning activities for primary and middle-school aged learners, it also links to other high quality Space Science learning collections elsewhere.
Founded in 2002 by Nobel Laureate Carl Wieman, the PhET Interactive Simulations project at the University of Colorado Boulder creates free interactive math and science simulations. PhET sims are based on extensive education research and engage students through an intuitive, game-like environment where students learn through exploration and discovery.

A great source of free science and mathematics simulations from the University of Colorado. Many of these resources are useful to upper school studies
The Physclips project provides multimedia education in introductory physics at different levels. Currently, it includes kinematics, mechanics, special relativity, waves, sound, electricity and magnetism. Resources may be freely used by teachers, while students may use the whole package, including interactive tutorials and support pages, for self instruction or for reference

This is a high quality resource from the Dept of Physics at UNSW. All manner of physics concepts and principles are demonstrated through animated examples with informed narration and explanations. The package includes tutorials and other supports for independent learners.
