This website is an initiative of the Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia. The Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia (PIEFA) is a tripartite not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, formed through the collaboration of the Australian Government, primary industries organisations and the education sector.

It has government, industry and education membership. PIEFA's vision is for an Australian community that understands and values its primary industries.

The Foundation's objectives are to: 
-  provide national leadership and coordination of initiatives to encourage primary industries education in schools through a partnership between industry, government and educators; 
- commission, coordinate, facilitate and manage national projects to encourage primary industries education in schools;

The STARportal is Australia’s first centralised national portal for exciting and engaging STEM activities from around the country. This searchable database connects parents, students and teachers with their local and online STEM activities in real time.

The STARportal has been a collaboration between the Office of the Chief Scientist, Engineers Australia, Telstra, AMSI, BHP Billiton and the Commonwealth Bank, in consultation with the Department of Education to ensure all Australian families have access to any and all STEM outreach activities in their area and online.

Khan Academy is a free resource for students, teachers, and parents. 

We offer free lessons in math, science and humanities from kindergarten through the early years of college. Students can use our exercises, quizzes, and instructional videos to learn and master skills. They will get immediate feedback and encouragement.
