We have a wide selection of games on the iPad for the “kids” enjoyment and a couple leap to mine as useful tools that could be applied to learning. Why would I want to use games for learning, well they are engaging, self motivating, rewarding and have instant feedback. So here are a couple that I think have potential:

Cell and Cell Structure is another great iPad app for Science teachers by Emantras, the makers of Frog and Rat Dissection iPad apps. We recently reviewed the dissection apps and loved them!

This app has just been added to the App List for students next year in Years 7-9 science. Has an excellent set of interactives and will really help students to traverse the cell and find out more about it. |
