By reading this article, I learned about the role social media has on a sports organization such as the NFL and how it affects the daily issues. Everybody checks Twitter to get the inside scoop as well as to hear peoples opinions and views. The NFL is learning how this is a promotional tool that can be used to help the business grow. Social media is now a marketing tool that is helping to revolutionize the sport industry through something as simple as Facebook. It is also a burden for players can take their anger of frustration out on Twitter so they need to be constantly monitored which can be a hassle. For the most part, social media has a positive effect which by promoting events or selling merchandise, the NFL benefits from social media. |
