3 Ways to Respond to Twitter Killing Off Lead Generation Ads - Marketo

3 Ways to Respond to Twitter Killing Off Lead Generation Ads - Marketo | The MarTech Digest | Scoop.it
1. Switch to Website Cards

Unlike Lead Generation Cards which capture user data within Twitter, Website Cards direct users to a landing page on your website. While it’s up to you to capture your own data (e.g. through a gated landing page), you have the opportunity to capture more data about the user. You can also include the URL directly within the picture to meet the character limit and append tracking parameters to track conversions.

2. Pivot to Retargeting Campaigns

3. Try Facebook Lead Ads

If you’re not already running Facebook Lead Ads, they’re very similar to the feature that Twitter will be shutting down. When someone clicks on a Facebook Lead Ad, they will see a form and can fill it out without being redirected to a new webpage. However, Facebook allows you to ask more questions on the form, as well as customize one of your own (and a list of drop-down options, if you like).

How to Stream Google Hangouts On Air to Twitter and Facebook | Social Media Examiner | The MarTech Digest | Scoop.it

Digest...

By sharing the YouTube link of your Google Hangout to Twitter and Facebook, you can stream the live event to reach more viewers.

Google Hangouts On Air are live video broadcasts that stream simultaneously on Google+ and YouTube. Through the magic of Google, YouTube automatically records your live video and saves it to your YouTube channel after the event.

Google Hangouts On Air is a fun way to host everything from general Q&A sessions to webinars to product launches. And because Hangouts On Air is integrated with YouTube, you can embed your live broadcast (as well as the saved one) just about anywhere—Facebook and Twitter included.

Brilliant! Had no idea this was possible. Combine Twitter's Lead Gen Cards with this program and you've got something powerful!

This provides directions on an interesting upgrade.  You can video chat on Google Hangouts and then integrate your video on Twitter.  Simple integration instructions that could up the PLN game.  By providing a real time video, this allows for collaboration to go just a little bit deeper.
