Readmill, the social reading experience and book marketing on a whole new level: “We thought that there was a huge potential in taking what Goodreads had done on social on the web for books, but doing that for a mobile integrated reading experience,” says Berggren. “So instead of having to read your book and then think, ‘Okay, now I have to go to Goodreads, find it there, add it to my profile, and write my review,’ we just wanted to let you share and review from inside of the book.” “Authors and publishers get access to a dashboard where they can see the engagement matrix of a specific book and see how many people that start reading the book actually finish it, how long it takes, if they recommended it to friends, and how much they shared throughout that experience,” explains Berggren. According to Berggren, modern publishers miss a lot of marketing opportunities for their authors because they don’t know where or when to target their marketing efforts. "

I just love the way these guys are thinking :
“It’s such a wild, wooly world out there in online video,” says Hullum. “We don’t really think of competition in that capacity.” He describes an employee of the company they found through videos he’d made that were similar to the ones Rooster Teeth makes. “We could have been, like, Oh, this guy’s trying to do what we’re doing,” he says in a mock-disappointed voice. “Instead, we said, Oh, this guy’s doing cool stuff like we do! Let’s talk to him! And he’s a great guy to have on the team.” Click for the full awesome story -

Vine and Instagram have provided unique platforms for users to showcase their creative ability. While a few seconds with a cellphone camera seems very limiting as a way to share videos, users continue to astound these social networking communities with their unique and clever approaches. Click to see how it works.

Handmade stop action videos and other visual goodies in the 6-second format are becoming extremely popular and probably the greatest source of Vine's version of viral spread of content.

Прикольно, для того, чтобы открыть на iPad новый кусочек истории, читателю надо физически оказаться в том или ином месте. Интересно, что же это за история должна быть такая, чтобы так напрягаться...

Whoa! "In a ground-breaking initiative called Midsummer Night’s Dreaming, delivered in substantial part by Google’s creative division, the action will primarily be experienced at one digital remove through a dedicated website – dream40.org – which has already gone live. This site will anticipate, comment on and followShakespeare’s action – as enacted largely unseen by the RSC cast – using specially devised materials, whether it be tweets, animations or other postings, and will draw too on material supplied by the online world. In other words, it will be the buzz around the events – some of it generated by 35 ancillary characters, specially created for the occasion – that takes centrestage." My favorite piece so far is Justin Snout's sound cloud poetry
