At an early stage, apparel was identified as the starting point for Xunxi – a sector in which the lengthy production cycles and high inventory levels have long been a problem for small and large players alike. Powered by new technologies such as real-time resourcing, process and cost planning, automated in-house logistics and Xunxi’s manufacturing operating system, the factory is able to produce small-batch orders at reasonable costs and with shorter delivery times, consequently increasing manufacturing efficiency from 25% to an average of 55%.

By providing retailers with real-time, accurate, and consistent data on OOS, they’re able to manage inventory successfully— including reducing costs—while improving in-store efficiencies. Our robots scan every aisle daily, providing employees prioritized tasks that allow them to take immediate action to reorder or restock based on velocity, department, promotion and more. Bossa Nova enables retailers with precise granular data like persistent OOS in specific departments, and items with consecutive OOS days, triggering automatic reordering where necessary

Marty is equipped with sensors that detect spills and then trigger an automated announcement over the store’s loudspeaker beckoning employees to clean up the mess. At the many “Marty Parties,” there were sheet cakes decorated with the robot’s signature eyes and goody bags containing robots fashioned from juice boxes and applesauce containers. An older customer in Newburgh, N.Y., brought the robot a can of WD-40 lubricant as a gift. In Queens and on Long Island, children made cards, drew pictures and composed poems for Marty.
