Being a special education teacher I agree with this article by Jake Miller. He shared many tips that even I make sure that I use in the classroom for my students. I believe that general education teachers should view this article to make sure that students are getting the support they need even when they are learning virtaully. This year has been a crazy year and we have to treat our kiddos the same as if they were in class. Providing them the accommodations and making sure they have the designated supports.

I think we need to learn to use different resources, online resources that allow us to teach and to connect with our students, or teachers, since by implementing this kind of methodology, we can be sure that the learning process it is not going to be interrupted, if the students can go tot the classroom, and Google meet allows to connect with them in a more friendly way.

If you want to help your children grow in academic way, there are many sites on internet to visit and have online classes, children will be doing activities with respective teachers and examples, is an amazing idea, so children will unerstand better topics.

From my point of view, this aspect about students well- being is very important, since educators should take into account that situations around us can affect also the correct development of the academic process. Many times we can evidence that many teachers do not care about these personal situations, and that is nor their real responsibility, but I would not affect you as a professional to worry about your students and their well-being. This article gives teachers some important points or steps that can be followed in order to help students feel safe. These are: communication (mental health check-in), consistency (schedules and routines) and finally, control (self-care plans).
